Retro Beach...

Hello world! I am so happy to be back. I know I have been missing but a lot of changes have taken place. I finally moved and it took me forever to unpack. I never realized how many shoes, clothes, bags and books I had! I have been bombarded at work. Making a lot of connections and clients! Anyways, I missed all of you gorgeous gals and fellas! How have you all been?

When I stepped out in this look today I got a lot of reactions and most of them about the retro feel to it. One person told me my look was Miami Beach circa 1959. So it dawned on me that yes it is very retro inspired. I have been watching a lot of Mad Men on Netflix and I have been very inspired by old school Americana style mixed with French Riviera as of late. I love the pale colors mixed with the boldness of the so dark it's almost black blue. Retro is very in this season...have you seen Prada's latest collection? To die for!! I found this skirt at a vintage shop and it's a schoolgirl skirt from the 60's which is pretty cool and definitely has a lot of history. Do you ladies love retro looks?

  21. Hi Krissy!!!
Miss you & your blog posts!!!
I've been buying lots of vintage lately!!!
I just got a YSL silk dress, Ann Demeulemeester knit top, Yohji Yamamoto pinstripe jacket, & a Nan Duskin multicolored embroidered coat.
The Yohji Yamamoto jacket reminds me of something the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy would have worn.
    I hope you're having a great day!!!
Miss your blog posts!!!! You have fabulous style!!!!!

  25. very pretty look, i like the drape of the shirt it looks light and hangs right for that pulled together vintage look :) but girl that chunky blue ring.. in my opinion it doesn't match anything else you're wearing and you have enough accessories together and they're so all over the board..it's borderline overkill. keep what you want for the modernity but i think you should read this -- http://thehousethatdelbuilt.tumblr.com/post/5392722050/coco-chanel-prov--
it's about getting a sense of your outfit and then how accessorizing clarifies and adds to it. very pretty look otherwise keep stylin!
